I just got an dbx tube preamp, and It has some buzz, I did you know, the usual search for buzz, change cables, unplug and hear and I came to the conclusion that it's the preamp, is it normal??
If I get lower the gain it's not enough signal to get to my PC, maybe this buzz is normal?? am I supposed to remove it by software??? maybe is the preamp broken?? I have never worked with preamps before, so, please excuse my ignorance :)

Is it buzz or a 60 cycle hum? Check your signal chain. Try the preamp in another outlet. Is your outlet grounded?

Well, I don't really know what is a 60 Cycle hum... :)
I'm new at this house, I don't know if the ground connection works well, so I'm going to test it somewhere else and I'll tell ya'!

60 cycle hum is the hum that you often hear because the ac voltage in your wall outlets switches back and forth 60 times per second. It sounds like a deep fart. Just for refferance an middle A that you tune a guitar to is 440 cycles
