And I need some recommedations, as most of my experience is with front of house outboard gear. I'd like to get a rackmount compressor and a rackmount chorus. Anyone have any recommedations?

EBS makes very good stompboxes for what you need.
But that's not rackmount ... Bass Pod Pro maybe ?
you could use any rackmount comp, from Behrie to LA-2A, but there aren't that many rackmount dedicated choruses around... aaah, maybe the Line6 mod modeler pro... but that's kind of really expensive for what it is ...
