That's a tough one, because the needs of mic'ing acoustic guitar, vocals, and bass are rather different. My best compromise is AKG C2000B (not C3000B, and not the Perception series). But generally, bass requires a dedicated low frequency mic. I like AKG D112. Vocals generally want a large diaphragm condenser or dynamic, say Rode NTK or Shure SM7b. Acoustic guitar wants a single large diaphragm condenser or a pair of small diaphragm condensers.- Shure KSM32 or a pair of Studio Projects C-4's. As I said, I think the C2000B is the best compromise on the market. It has been used successfully for vocals, acoustic, and bass.-Richie
