Sennheiser HD280's. Comfortable, sound good, superb isolation, about $100.-Richie

maybe get the mr8 used and a low cost dual pre w/ phantom maybe used also and if you get the mr8 used, it may already have a larger cf. You know that it's really 4 tracks and 2 stereo tracks and only the first 4 have any pan and there's no eq, right?

I have Cakewalk Home Sudio, maybe I could use that since the mr-8 doesn't have it?

THAT LINK IS AWESOME!!! Dude, how did you find that one? And why have you been hiding it from us? :)
Googled it. I just found it today, myself. I saved it in my favorites, in case the need arises for it to come out again.

Yeah, you can. Software eq's are decent. I use Sony Vegas, and it has some pretty good eq's in it. The nice thing about software is that you can get plugins for them, so you can always try out different eq's and different settings.

Unfortunately, I don't even know how to use Cakewalk's equilization...haha

Once you get something recorded and you start messing with it, you'll figure it out. It's not hard.

The hard part is mastering it...
