burning disc.

Help,
At long last I have installed a plextor and attempted to record a track, nothing, it would not read the track.
I had saved the trac as "Hi de Hi.wav" and clicked on start, then programs and into Nero and so on to Burn, then it would not recognise the file. Any help appreciated. Fro the record I am absolutely computer ILLITERATE, they are not logical to me in any way shape or form.
I had also dragged it across earlier, but that was a failure too, although it said that burning was complete, no sound in the CD player.
 
Did you tell it to make an audio cd? Sounds to me like you're making data cds, and unless you have an mp3 cd player you won't hear anything.

The problem was with me, I had not created a folder and saved to it in wav. I somehow lucked on to it and it worked really well, which was a relief as I had taken half a day off work to do it.
