building mic pre
I would recommend building a mic pre based on Pat Morford`s
Solid State mic pre - it uses the Millennia Media op amp module.
It is very easy to build and according to Mr. Morford, sounds a lot
better than a tube mic pre - remember this man is a tube guy.

I have the parts and had to have the chassie box custom made,
as I intend to have four mic- pre channels in the same box. In fact,
I ordered 3 boxes at the same time, so I can have 12 mic pre
channels.
The input circuit is transformer based. Pat Morford strongly recom-
mends transformers made by Lundal. See link on his web-site.
But, don`t ask me for a copy of the circuit diagram, I will be loyal to the designer. I will start building soon...
