how do i make my sounds into different channels like in my mixer, such as drums from a planet phatt on channel-1 Synth from a planet phatt on channel-2 and so on.Can you guys fill me in.

I am not familiar with your particular equipment... however, most decant synths have multiple outs. This usually includes a Left and Right Main and somewhere between 2 and 6 other outs. In the synth, there is a routing page, in which you can send the particular instrument to a particular output. With most sounds, the default is the main L/R. Go to the different instruments in your synth and select what channel you will send them to. Then take cables and connect the various outputs to the different channel inputs on the mixer.

If your equipment doesn't have separate outs, the way I'd do it would be to sync the keyboard to the multi-track. Once that's done, just record it in separate passes (drums first, then synth, then whatever).

It takes longer (and sync'ing isn't always easy to figure out), plus you'd have to figure out how to 'solo' each part on your synth, but that would probably give you the most flexibility.

via MIDI.

- What recording program/sequencer are you using?
- Are you recording audio or sequencing?
- Do you have an entire song sequenced into the keyboard or are you going to lay down tracks separately?
