Hello,all.
Longtime lurker here, first time poster.First off,I did search all threads and did not find an answer to my query.
I am using a Boss BR1600CD,and am not always able to burn my songs to cd.I first tried a few weeks ago,to no avail. The drive would appear to be writing and finalizing.I would then pop out the disc and try it in my stereo, which would recognize a track, but there is nothing on it.I would then try it in the Boss, and I would get a "wrong disc!" message. After much hair pulling,I finally called the Roland help line, and they told me not to use "audio" cd-rs,but "data" cd-rs.Truthfully,I didn't think there was a difference.I thought the labels were merely marketing.Anyway, after trying Memorex and Maxell "music" cds,I bought some Philips "unspecified use" cds.Voila! They worked.Good to go,right? No.I am now trying to burn another song, and the problem remains,no matter what discs I use.I have followed the manual to the letter(it really is a simple process) and am at my wits end.I am thinking I must have a defective burner, but I'd like to exhaust all possibilities before sending the unit off for God knows how long.Any ideas are appreciated. Also what cd-rs do you all use?
thanks,
Bill
