Hi Guys!
Did anyone have the similiar problem?
I've got BR 800 and I record only vocal (MXL 440 mic, but it doesn't matter).
When I try to make mastering, I press record & play and hear the perfect sound.
But after all, in preview mode, the mastered tracks are silent or sometimes very silent (I can hardly hear the voice). Raw tracks are still perfect. I repeat mastering mode and the effect is still bad. But it doesn't happen always. It's random. It looks like it depends on the mood of my BR800. I made a test and recorded four the same songs with four the same levels and effects. Two of them were bad, two of them were perfect.
Please, help!!

You could try this in the Boss section of the forum, but what we need to hear is some soundclips of what is happening - you will need to have 10 posts here before you can post a link.

Sounds like this may be a function of the Boss Mastering FX - builtin mastering sets of effects and you are switching unknowingly between them.

No, like I wrote, I do nothing with the mastering sets of effect. Or, when I do, I do everything the same for all soundclips.
But many thanks for reply.

Have you tried bouncing the tracks to a stereo file and not bothering with the master section?
I never had this problem when I had my BR1180 CD

Thanks for the answer. You know, I don't need bouncing the tracks. What I usually do with my BR 800 is very simple. I'm a reader and I record only some text or books. This is a simple thing, two tracks only recorded in a stereo mode. But sometimes, later on I need to add some effects in the mastering process. And here is a problem. I don't change the levels (input, rec level and so on) but sometimes after the mastering the songclip becomes very very silent (you can hardly hear). No reason why. And I can repeat the mastering, do it on another tracks - nothing better. But sometimes, working with another clips - everything is correct.

That's odd.
So when you listen to the master section before you apply the effects does it sound fine? Make sure to look at the output level of the master track while listening to the master track before bouncing. Make sure the level meter is up high and not a tiny little bar.
