Aside from the "pat on the back" reference (which was only used once by SC), I share all of those little "quirks". I end my sentences with "eh?", use big words (lol :p), I'm a drummer, but I constantly spell rhythm wrong :eek: ... I use "gotta" (is there supposed to be an apostrophe in that?!? :eek: :D ), and I commonly put words like "pro" or "amateur" in quotes (the guitar sounds pretty "amatuer"). And I have been pretty vocal about how there's a lot of back-patting and how we could use a little more "tough love" around here.


Now... I'm not saying it was me... (although.. I am feelin' kinda degected that I didn't get any votes. :( ) ;) :D I'm just saying that a couple pretty common linguistic traits are hardy enough to convict anyone of this, or even point a reasonable amount of doubt their way.


I'm glad FLG is posting this, (you da man!! :D ) so I can see what happened for myself and draw my own conclusions.

my critiques were gifts to each and every one of you. re-read them. print them off. bind them. memorize them. even if you weren't blessed with one of my critiques for your own tune, read the one's that were directed at others. you might learn something.
 
This is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. I'm getting tired of people getting all pissed off over nothing and then just continuing on and on and on with it.

I'm with Tom....it makes this place no fun to come to and that's why I come here.....for the fun and camraderie......if that's gone, what's the point? I don't need to come here to be taught how to play or record, I already know how to do that. Sure, I learn new stuff and I refine my knowledge with what others who know more can show me. But I'm plenty good enough to have a good time getting some of my tunes down on tape.

I come here for the aforementioned fun and friendship. If instead of that, we're gonna start having people warring with each other over fucking nothing, then it's a waste of my time.
That thread proved exactly nothing.....all that sleuthing proved the same thing....NOTHING!! And mixmkr's confession easily could have been a joke. But Chris wants to be just as unwilling to accept anything that he says as Khompewter was with Chris a week or so ago. It's just as uncivilized to call mix a liar as it was for Khomp to call you one. Your case is extremely weak and your stubborness that you simply have to be right is disappointing. I'm gonna go record.....that'll be a lot better use of my time than this bullshit.

Ok, ok. I got pissed off when I read some threads basically saying that it was me. I've had to defend myself enough around here to know that it does suck to be under suspicion.

I just wish mix had said "not me," like I asked, instead of coming in and saying "yeah, it was me" and then telling everybody to fuck off.

Oh, and WATYF - As far as libel goes, you're way off the mark. Opinions are covered by the First Amendment, and so are factual statements so long as they're true. I didn't state anything false at all... I listed some facts, and a conclusion (i.e., opinion) drawn from some facts.

Which takes me back to my original point, SOMETIMES THREADS SHOULD BE DELETED...

mixmkr - Like I said in my original post, I was just looking for the truth. I've said at least 10 times that I could be wrong, and that I'd drop it if you denied it. I guess you're denying it. Case closed.

And yeah, it figures that I'd end up being the only identifiable asshole when the smoke cleared.
