I am leaning toward picking up a few for recording conferences, meetings, etc., maybe get away from our EV 635A's, if only for the asthetic value of having something less obtrusive in the room. (And people ALWAYS want to grab the mic if it's there.)

Anyone have much experience in this area and/or can relate any good/bad experiences with them?..recommend a brand? Thanks.

Crown PCC-160, EV RE-90B and AT 849 are all good mics.

I would be worried to have anybody notice "Radio Shack" on any gear I use for a corporate gig. If they think they can find the stuff themselves, they may consider your services less valuable... even if the mic sounds just as good ;-)

At the price those gigs go for, I wouldn't take the chance... just my personal opinion.

I don't have any experience with the Radio Shack mic.

I suppose that that wow factor does count in the boardroom. Go ahead paint over it.

theres the sure SM91 which I have good experiences with, they are even less visible than the crown PZMs and are equal in performance, I even saw it in light grey once - how slick can it get ?
