When you bounce a track to disk, does it have to playback live everytime? or is there a way to bounce or mixdown without live playback. PT LE
You can also record the mix inside protools on a new track (routing all out to a bus).
This is useful for a bunch of reasons but the main one (for me) is that you can make a change on a section and then rerecord only that section (using quick punch and starting some bars ahead so delays, reverbs, etc of prevoius bars will be "active" in the section you need to reprint); with a small cross fade and consolidation you save a lot of time expecially when you mix movies.
When the mix is finished I suggest to rerecord the whole performance.
