This is an example of what i want to do:

I want to take a recorded vocal track with reverb and delay and record it to another track to free up the 2 effects.

1. Do i need to use the insert, post, or pre when doing this.

2. I tried to bounce the track and after it was done recording the effect did not transfer along to the new track.

I need a step by step to do this: Pretend I am the idiot I am!

ps: The manual sucks so bad and my heater works terrible in my apartment, I want to burn the thing for heat!

bounce

what's up

1. It doesn't matter what type of send the effects are using when you bounce, but it does make a slight difference in how it sounds, as I'm sure you know.:D

2. When you bounce the track you must turn the BUSS on for the track AND for the effects(EFFECT button/BUSS ON)

3. Since you said you have bounced tracks before I will assume the you know the basics there, but if not just ask.:)

That should take care of it. It is pretty simple once you do it a couple of times. I tried a bunch of different things before I realized that you have to turn the BUSS on for the effects, but I'm really bouncin' now;)

Akai Problems

FFMADA

Hey how you doing? Youre the only Akai dps16 user I can remember, Im having this problem:
I just tryed to load a updated version via my cd drive and the format was wrong and the machine just sat there. I hit the play button to see if that would restart it but it does nothing now! I turn it off and back on and all it does is: all the lights are on and the screen is black!

Is there a way to reset the machine so I can record again????

Please help if you can!

Sondriven:

I can't give any advice on that, as I haven't updated yet. I was actually going to make the CD today. Good luck. Let me know how things turn out.

Reminder: When you're bouncing, remember to save the unaffected track in the v-tracks for later use or changes.
