Please advise--

i'm trying to mix down using a mix of audio and midi tracks in pro tools on a mac. The midi sound is from an external synth. I figured out how to hear the midi track in the edit interface, but can't seem to figure out how to capture the midi track when mixing down.

Also tried wiring the output from the MBox to the inputs using monitor cables, as well as SPDIF. Neither worked and just produced wicked feedback. Grrr... what's next?

I have tried to find a midi to wav converter--can't seem to find one for mac.

Thanks

Well, I just bus the midi track to a new audi track and record it...

bus midi to audio

Ok--in pro tools the only in/out options that appear are for midi channels (in the mixer view). Do you have to configure the I/O settings for the MBox differently or how exactly do you do this?

thanks
