Bought a Tacoma!

Well, after a lot of searching, I finally found my new baby-- a Tacoma DM9 acoustic. Boy does she sing. This thing resonates after the strings are muted for almost a full second. Sweet tone, great action, and a real "simple" beauty. I am stoked. If you haven't, check out Tacoma guitars!! The one I bought blew away the Larrivees in the same price range.

Whew! For a minute there I thought this place turned into a Toyota site.

I just love it when someone gets a quality acoustic guitar cos you know those babies will sound better each playing day !

In the early days when I got my solid-top Yamaha, there were many times I feel like trading it for a better guitar. I didn't, so now a few years later after many hours of playing, I will not trade it for any guitar (Taylor's included) cos it just developed a mature and sweet sound which grew on you and just wouldn't let go.

So be very careful!

... and I feel acoustic guitars are never about a brand being better than another. After you have one, depending of how its played and treated, it develops a unique life of its own.

yeah this is a happy moment..... kinda like a proud new papa at the maternity ward. And its so true that its the player and the guitar bonding. I asked a dude at a music store if he had ever heard of "Atlas" guitars. He sneared and gave me the ol "yes cheap import line made in Korea at the time everyone was bla bla bla". I played mine for him on my next visit... he shut up.
