Boss NS 2 or ISP Decimator

Hey guys,
Love my pedals and single coiled Tele but really need something to reduce unwanted hiss and crackle. I run alot of pedals and sometimes things just get kinda, well, noisy!

I was wondering whether to go for a Boss NS 2 or an Isp Decimator. Both do pretty much the smae thing, I'm just wondering which does it better without sucking my tone dry. As of now im leaning towards boss, purely for its reliability.

Owned both. went for the ISP. seemed a lot less tone suckage to me. still not perfect. but each to their own.

Also - from the reliability point of view... the decimator seems to be pretty damned strong. I mean the quality of build does not seem less than a boss to say the very least. I reckon if I kicked it only I would hurt... that pedal would keep going.

You may want to consider a true bypass looper box. FX boxes that suck your tone use buffers in the bypass circuit which can drain your guitar tone. True bypassing will completely bypass the effect so it would be like pluging straight into your amp. I wish all my effects were true bypass but there are a few boss pedals I like to use so I have a TB looper box for 3 effects I made myself. There are several small companies on the web in which you can buy. Ive seen them in variety as far as the number of effects. Some also have tuner switching. The noise gates I beleive are primarily for guitarist that have a tremendous amount of distortion or overdrive and need to tame the pauses inbetween playing.

Yeah i know what you're saying, but the amount of tone being sucked is really paramount to my feedback problem; like you said in the latter part of your post, when i use a lot of drive i get nasty feedback. This is largely because my Tele is a single coil and the bridge pickup has a great treble bite, but this causes me problems especially with a wah in the toe-down position. Basically I need noiseless pickups, but I think the Noise gate will be a cheaper alternative. Does that make sense?
