Boss GT-8

Does the boss gt-8 have a preamp, ie can you plug it straight into the stereo input of a mixing desk? My mate has a GT-8 and i will be putting on a gig in a week or so.

Yes, it has a preamp. It should also have dual mono outs and a single digital out. I dunno if it helps any, but try and use the SPDIF (digital) output if you can. It's either that or you run two mono cables to two mono channels, unless you can get a Y-cable of some kind.

I don't have a SPDIF input on my desk. Just outputs left and right of gt-8 into a stereo channel or desk?

Just tried it out today with my new speakers and it sounds great!! Guitarist says it's not as good as his amp but still rather nice, and it means i can plug everything else in no bother got 8 xlr ins and 2 stereo, n using everything but a right in one of the stereos
