Boss DR-5?

Anybody had any experience with a DR-5? I am wanting to record some demos of songs I have written and I am needing a drummer that I can get along with and can work my hours. (HA)

Also if someone has the time I need a new sound card on my computer. I have a Roland VS-840 and I would like to send my songs to my computer to put on cd. I have a Pent.II 266 with 64 soon to be 128 mg RAM. The VS-840 has digital out so I assume that would be the best way to send it to my computer, am I correct? If so can I accomplish this for under $200?

-I love mine. Its great because you get 1 drum track and 3 tracks for GM instruments. Its a great little box.


-For $200.00 you'll be able to get a sound card with a digital in. Check out the Voyetra / Turtle Beach website. Their sound cards are not pro by any stretch of the imagination, however they nake a unit with digital in/out (coaxial) and Optical in/out. Not bad. I actually have one of these cards. It gets the job done.
