Yeah, this isnt a review about gear, but might as well be. After all, what good is the gear without the knowledge needed to use it.

Record at Home on a Budget, wriiten by Chad Johnson, published by Hal Leonard, is as good as any piece of gear I could buy for the studio.

Being a novice to modern computer based recording, I've found this to be an invaluable addition to my studio. I read it cover to cover and continually use it as a reference.

Chad did a great job of simplifying the subject so it is easy for someone to grasp.
In addition to the technical aspects, specific usable and affordable gear choices are contained to take some of the guesswork out of the gear aquisition process.

All in all, this is a great all purpose manual that I come back to time and time again.

It gets a five star rating from me ***** :D
