ok... i really wanna get this bluebird microphone.. considering its on sale... but for the life of me i cannot find the shockmount for it.. can anyone help?

Good news- it uses the same shockmount and pop filter as a Baby Bottle. Bad news- it's way overpriced. At 8th street, they'll sell you the shock and integrated pop filter for $119.99. Musician's friend sells the shockmount alone for $99.99. I have some pull at guitar center, and I think I could get you the shock/pop kit for about $50 + 5% Mass. sales tax. The Sabrasom universal shock mount will work fine, and is more versatile and cheaper-

A Rode SM1 might work, but I'll be damned if I can find out the diameter of the body of a Rode NT-1, which the shock is designed for. I'll bet somebody on this board has a Baby Bottle and an NT-1, NT1-a, or an NT-2, which the shockmount was designed for, and can tell you if the shock is compatible with Baby Bottle/Bluebird.

Just for the record, I own both the shock and pop for the Baby Bottle and the Kiwi from B.L.U.E. I was lucky enough to get both free, especially the Kiwi hardware, which was a gift from B.L.U.E. customer support. I don't mind the one on the kiwi, but the pop filter on the Baby Bottle is a little small. The steel popscreen does sound good, and the shockmount is fine, but *at that price*? If they weren't included with the mic or gifted, I'd buy a cheaper functional alternative.-Richie

First of all I thought all bluebirds came with a shockmount and second I know if you hassle the guys at GC they'll cut the price in half. When I bought my baby bottle i told the guy I didn't wanna pay for the shockmount/popfilter, he not only said ok but knocked a hundred bucks off the mic too. Just depends on how much commision the guy you're working with will cut. In fact I told him I found a d6 on ebay for 120 and he matched it.

Bluebird Package
Everytime I have seen the BlueBird it comes with the BirdCage shockmount, BirdNest metal pop filter, high definition 22-AWG Blueberry mic cable, but no wait there is more, a cherry wood storage box and velvet bag is in the box. If you check over at sweetwater they have it for 5 bills.
