So this is Blue Flashing Lights. I wrote this track in the dark. My girlfriend had to get up early the next day. I couldn't sleep so I stared at the curtainless window on our third floor apartment. Blue flashing lights lit up the ceiling so I grabbed a pen and paper and began the tale. Its a made up story about 3 friends who stole a car and are chased by the police. 2 out of the 3 die after a crash. The song is based around Sonny. The only survivor.

Anyway I hope you like it..!

Thanks

(Thanks Aaron)

Hey. I like this, but it sounds like it's a low quality MP3 - can you re-export it at a higher bit rate? It cuts off at the end as well.

Didn't realise mate. A forum user kindly cropped the track because there was an opening minute of silence. He sent it back in m4a format so I had to convert for the second time to mp3, obviously decreasing the quality. Didn't realise the end was missing. Great! Back to square one!!!

It's a great tune, shame about the audio. Very low fi quality. Can you not export it to .wav and upload it to somewhere like Soundcloud.com?

Although my pc is a complete shed im gonna have to crop the original WAV file myself and do like you said and upload to Soundcloud. Just listened back and it sounds terrible.

You can use a free program like Audacity to crop the wav and save to a higher quality file. Audacity is a tiny program and should run on any computer, regardless of the speed. You can upload wav direct to soundcloud.

I have Cubase installed just haven't tried it yet. It may ne slow. If it is ill install audacity. Thanks for all your help!!

No problem. Looking forward to hearing the song again, but in full and better quality.

"No hoper's, proletarian moper's... "

I must agree with others, it's kind of good, but also lo-fi. The style demands more clarity and punch.

That's my friends favourite line in the song. I completely agree too. I have imported it to Cubase. Cropped the original minute of non-audio and I am now exporting it as a wav file. Ill upload onto Soundcloud and post the link. Thanks everyone.

That goddamn proletariat... wait a minute... that's me...

And you ! :D

Looking forward to the Hi-Fi version barnsey.

Thanks alot mate. Still no luck uploading the 60mb wav file :-(

Posted the player for you ;)

Sounds really good to me. I would probably mix it very similar to this. I'm sure others will chime in shortly. I really like it though, it's nice to hear it all finally ;) - The harmonies are fantastic.

Top job fella!

Thanks mate. Really appreciate it. Im no producer. Im not even a great musician or vocalist. But I love to write songs. I love criticism too because good criticism isn't out of spite but for benefit. It's how you as a person take it. So fingers crossed I get a decent response.
