Blown Monitor?

[Hurmph]

I accidently turned off my mixer before turning off my monitors (Wharfedales), and it resulted in a loud pop!.
Afterward something did not sound right. It did not seem as smooth as before, especially the highs. Nothing too extreme, maybe my imagination?.

I was wondering if there was a definitive way to know you have a blown monitor or what to listen for?

Dunno bout the wharfie's but at high volumes it will sound scratchy and distorted...!!!

Compare the one you think is blown to the the Un-Blown one....It could be the circutry in the Amplifier or something me thinks....

I have done what you describe a number of times and havn't "Blown" them.. However I have the volume level's on the back set quite conservatively...!!!

Someone else on here might be able to give you some better info..!!
