Bloodsoaked

Death Metal Freak
I have just posted a 1:40 clip of a new song I am working on and would love some feedback. There are some vocals at the begining of the song and the rest is just music (guitar and drums). This is the first time I recorded with my new V-Amp Pro and my M-Audio 2496 sound card. I hope to finish this song over the next few weeks and have it run about 3:30 or so. I would love any feedback, good or bad. Thank you.

I think it sounded pretty good. Not sure I completely liked whatever you used on the vocals, seemed a bit chorusy. Biggest weakness were the cymbals and snare. If you use DFH or any kind of multisamples you can give some better dynamics to them and make them sound more like a real player using midi velocities. The kick drum was killer though, I wouldn't change it at all.

How do you like the v-amp and M-Audio card? I have the same gear.

Keep it up!

Thanks for the comments...I use Beatcraft for my drum machine software, it does allow for the use of different velocities for the drums but it takes allot of time and since this is just a song I am working on I did not take the time as this point.

I love the v-amp and the m-audio card, makes everything allot better and much easier with the v-amp. I can record guitars at 3 in the morning if I want, I love it.

I use Beatcraft for my drum machine software and have tried a bunch of different EQ setting till I got it just as I want it.
