Hello folks,

What do you all feel about blogging for a musician? I currently started a blog (see sig)...if you're interested, read johnchow[dot]com...he's a blogging guru. I would highly recommend starting a blog to keep your 'fan base' up to date.

Is there a point in creating a blog individually, or should that be integrated into something like 'my space'?

Hey, my opinion on it is if you have a lot of people visiting your site, then you have something to blog for. So the preference of blogging individually or from a hosted site like myspace is totally up to you and how much traffic you think you're going to get. Otherwise you'll be blogging just to blog and. If you can build your traffic, it would be a great way to advertise gigs and what not for yourself. I'm not too much into blogging myself. I'm not one to sit for hours writing about my day and what I think of certain issues. So if it's your thing, by all means.

I agree with RAE. I think once you have enough fans or visitors to your "blog" (god I hate that word) then it would be worth the effort, unless you get something out of just writing.

I don't think I could write a long blog, much less read someone else's, but that's just me.
