No offense, but although you here me complaining and we get taxed to death here, I would never move again. Tried the american thing and I don't know how you guys survive with under 50,000/year. I'll stick with the "great white" until america offers me the same health care and cleanliness I recieve here. If I have to pay in taxes to recieve it, then so be it. Thanks for the suggestion but I'm fine here.

I wouldn't leave Canada for all the Money in the world.... I would Love to move to LA though.. but that would only be through necessity of carreer....

I live at the border of US/CAN and Im always back and forth, and Im sure Im biased, but Canada seems so much happier and cleaner, when I come back over as opposed to being in the US..

Anyways that my Opinion.!
 
Ontario healthcare is great... and Believe me, i have done alot of dealing with it in the past year.....

Hey..I'm Canadian, & proud of it....at times....sometimes it's an embarrassment.

It seems as a majority, in general they have very little knowledge of what's going on outside the 1 mile perimeter of wherever they call home.
Who saw the Canadian comedy special with Mike Myers called "Talking to Americans"...it was both funny & sad, and unfortunately...very accurate.
If America ever wanted to walk in and take over, what would we do???nothing, what could we do..
I've got a standing bet with a co-worker that within 15 years, the 3 western provinces will become states. I'll get back to ya in 15.

Anywhooo... don't get all bent oat of shape aboot my suggestion to move. I liked Canada, but I'd never live there again... Sure you get a clean street and free healthcare, but guess what chuckles... There's no such thing as a free lunch. (Didn't your daddy teach you that?) :D If you add up all those extra taxes you're payin' to get that free health care, guess what you'd get...? that's right.. (most likely) more than it would cost for you to buy it yourself here in the States. And sorry, but 10-20 Large a year for health care?!?!? What planet were you calling to get your rates?? Any decent job here comes with Health Care as a standard benefit. I pay aboat 6 bucks a week for mine... that's quite a (gigantic) bit less than 10 G's a year. (let alone 20 G's) I've had three surgeries over the last three years at a whopping combined cost of 150 bucks. (that's really gonna break the bank) :p And my regular doctor visits are chump change. So hey... I'm all for lovin' your country.. but try to make your point be at least somewhat realistic,... eh. :)

Of course,.. I'm not a socialist, so I naturally wouldn't like Canada... but there were some valid points made aboot people here State side. They've all got their heads up their @sses. They all think the entire planet revolves around their every anal whim and desire. And they think the world exists just to satisfy their needs. But hey... as long as you keep to yourself,... choose your friends and your jobs wisely... you can get along quite nicely.

No my friend... I am quite the opposite. I'm a drifter. I've lived here.. I've lived there... I've lived on the other side of the planet... I'm probably one of the few people you'll ever meet who has objective experiences on which to base his view of the world.

Oh yeah... as for the (once again) misconception about benefits... I got my job through a temp agency... no special schooling... no special training.. no nothing... and definitely no luxury. It's very standard nowadays to work for a company that provides benefits... even for minimum-wage/entry-level workers. I don't know who you're getting your quotes from, but you might wanna try a different source.
