Hello, I got a Mackie 1402 VLZ Pro mixer to replace my club DJ mixer (which I was using for as my mixing board!). I have a computer for multitracking (Cubase SX2) and am using a Delta 1010 soundcard. My problem is that during Cubase playback from the Delta (into the Mackie), there is a strange sort of whirring or crackling sound, even when there is no audio playing from Cubase. I suspect it has to something to do with MIDI, as I hear a little click everytime the MIDI OUT lights up on the Delta. If I scroll the transport bar around in Cubase, it makes that sound.

The strange thing is, that I tried plugging the outputs of the Delta back into my old mixer, and the sound is gone! Same with plugging headphones directly into the Delta output. Is there something defective with my Mackie? Can they ever get along?! Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,K

ok figured it out after pulling my hair all day and night. used 3 prong to 2 prong converters on all equipment. for all the future confused people out there. goddaaaaam!!!!!

I have that problem, but its not been loud enough for me to care, as its not given me any trouble over reecordings..

So what is your set up now to stop the sound? Im using the same set up as you but without the delta 1010..
