IM shortly "borrowing" a nuemann ku100

Ive been reading up extensivly regarding binaural recording and it fascinates me and I love the effect.

Has anyone had/would like to share any experiences with this technique or could point any ways they applied it to a commercial recording?

Yes, I have been doing binaural recordings for years. I have some very impressive jazz recordings and lots of ambient recordings done at the beach, Harvard Square etc.

I made my first few pair of mics until I found out about the Core Sound binaurals.

yes, the core sound binaurals, I keep reading about these, care to ellaborate ?

Binaural recording has been responsible for some of the best headphone music ever made.

And with the overwhelming popularity of the I-pods these days, I believe the technique could take on even greater relevence.

While it may be true that the best headphone listening can come from binaural recordings, you are deluding yourself if you think people will buy binaural recordings instead of over produced multi-track stuff.

Quick take a vote, Who would prefer to buy the next Jamfest CD in binaural sound?

That's not the point.

You can track drums binauraly. You track tamborines, shakers and sound effects using the binaural head. This is already being done, asshat. :D I'm just saying it can be done to a greater extent.
