Sonic Foundry sells a strip down version of ACID that usally includes a specific genre sample cd as well. For exapmle I bought acid hip-hop for 35 bones about 2 yrs ago that came with acid 2.0 and a sample of hip-hop beats/instruments. Any of the "ACID STYLE" items are more geared towards looped based music and not really toward the recording of live sound. You can download the ACID STYLE 3.0 for $29 from their website.

The best way to get into using acid is either liquid or 'shrooms. Stay away from the paper, though, as it is often cut with rat poison. Bad for the body even if it makes the trip a bit more intense.
