Best speaker brand???

I got to put in a bug in your ear about Bag End speakers. I've installed two pairs in two different locations with great results. They were the TA5000's which are one 15 with a horn (they also have a 12 inch version that sounds good too).

I don't know what they do to deliver that kind of clarity, but they deliver in spades. Plus the efficiency is very high, 102 db with 1 watt if I remember correctly, which allows little wattage to push a healthy volume.

Another plus is they are not bi amplified, meaning one amp channel is needed for both low and hi driver, which may not be the case with some of the EAW products.

If your budget allows, I'd at least check it out.

I agree with xstatics plan, if you want to save money at first. I would recommend a QSC PLX3402, rockin' amp, pretty inexpensive (around $1000 street), 1100W per channel @ 4ohms, which is about what you would have running that system using the internal crossover. That amp will serve you well through any upgrades.
