Best recording interface for drums, fo the price?

I'm running with cockos Reaper, I'm looking not to spend more than 400 or 500 on an interface that can record 7-9 drum mics. Any suggestions?

presonus firestorm blah blah

all about the same quality wise...

echo 8 pre looks good and i've used some of their products before....

def a cut above the stuff at the top but u'll pay for it.

recently bought a Steinberg MR816x and returned the 2626 huge improvement in the conversion and pre's but its prolly out of ur budget.
