i am now trying to find the best preamp and audio interface that works for a macbook. from my hours of research i am seeing that drivers are a real issue with these. at the end of the day i just need a phantom power supply for my RODE microphone but got directed towards preamp/audio interface. i am trying to stay around $100, but should I spend up to $200+ to get the quality i need? the most important issue is quality and not having to worry about drivers - i really want plug and play.
i am going towards recording an album with the mic plugged into Garage Band that will record tracks of cello, classical guitar, vocals. i have the mic ready and just need a way to get it plugged into my macbook
any help would be greatly appreciated.
