No, that's not a question. The answer is: Shure 55SH. No, it's not the SM7B. Try it, you will see. It's DEFINITELY not the AT3060.

You have an AT3060?...Im a bit curious about that one.

Of course I have an AT3060. All the cool people have AT3060s

In fact, every mic in my collection epitomizes cool:

315
520DX
55SH
AT3060

And that's it. If you can't record anything with one (or more) of those mics, you're in the wrong bizwack.

PS the ECM8000 doesn't count, I just keep that mic around to laugh at :D

I got a 55SH at a pawn shop last week thinking it was a pristine specimen of the older 55(S?) - it was cheap enough, so I'm not bummed.

It sure is cool - can't deny the yellability - *and* it's a great interface for stopping the bass tapping if you use it to bean the bass player.

I have an image in my mind of a rockabilly standup bassist tapping and Brian Setzer crushing him with a 55 right on the hairdo

AT should have trademarked this tagline, before they discontinued the 30 series:

AT3060: the mic AT3035 owners wished they were cool enough to have®

I like them for the Karaoke rig...but if it sounds like an SM57...just buy an SM57.

That's what losers do. Winners use the 55SH. I will always be a winner . . . and you will always be a loser :p

PS the polar response and frequency response are different due to the housing. This is why some people don't like the 55SH live; it is subcardioidish. Those people are losers.

my mom told me if your gonna do it right and take someone out slam them with a 58 and be sure to keep it in the mic stand for the extra weight.

Idiots.

In this application no mic can match a piezo glued to your throat. Make sure that the cyanoacrylate glue is fresh though. And prep the skin with soapy water, not alcohol. And yeah, goes without saying, don't try to pull it off after.

Gotta have the right buffer though. Otherwise it'll be a brittle quacky "YEAH!". I'm sure mshil can address the technical points involved.

Im not sure what you are thinking xlr we all know the best way is too jam an xlr into the throat, duh:rolleyes:

I mock those who set themselves up for it(aka not you)

o no... woke up this mornign and the first thread i read made me realise im a loser:eek:

WHAT DO I DO?!?!?

Dude, you have any idea who you're messing with? You know that scene in Crossroads where Ralph Macchio played Paganini and Steve Vai threw down his ax in frustration? Well, one time Chuck Norris challenged XLR, and when XLR was done playing Paganini, Chuck started crying and walked away. Then XLR said, hey wait I was only warming up my fingers!
