I'm very much aware that the Rolls isn't powerful. It's a $50 item.... solution... and very far from a $1000 fix, but it has provided enough gain to overcome and adjust for the volume difference that is afforded between the monitor output and headphone output of my DAW. The headhone output is approximately 25 dB less than the monitor output, so I needed to compensate for the difference when switching back and forth between nearfields and headphones to maintain a constant volume level between the two outputs that are controlled by a single volume pot. You ignored my question, though, by failing to answer and specify which $1000 headphone amp would be sufficient in your opinion.
