I've just paid for my Audiophile and waiting for it to be delivered so while i wait i thought i'd get ready for it. I check the site and i see a couple of drivers there. What are the best ones to use for XP? I also have a via chipset so i hope the card doesnt hate it...sblaster does. Also..how does one go about having 2 soundcards installed? I currently have an Audigy and it is great for games so i'd like to leave it in. Surely there must be hassels having 2 cards going with separate drivers..how does it know whats for what?

SOMe advice would be great!

Thanks

Shouldn't be a problem...

Don't know from XP, but in Win9x both cards show up in the Multimedia (Win2K calls it "Sounds and Multimedia") control panel. Any competent audio program will see both devices and let you choose which one to use, as long as you don't have the box checked that says "Use only preferred devices". Many programs will let you use both simultaneously.

I use an AudioPhile 2496 along with onboard sound, and I've never had a problem with the two getting along.

Good luck,
DonF

Thanks...i'll just have to see how it goes i suppose..i can live without the audigy..but would be cool to have it in too.
