which (cubase settings) ones are the best for acoustic guitars, and vocals?

cheers

If you're referring to the reverb plugins that come included with cubase, I'd say none. There are far better free VST reverbs out there and, if you're willing to pay a little, quality can go up even further.

For freebies, check out:
Glaceverb
Kjaerhus Classic Reverb
SIR - download some of the EMT 140 plate reverb impulses to use with it and you will smile

See the link in my sig and go to vst plugs. I try only to put up the nicer stuff.
Go to the ones with direct links (not the links to pages with tons of plugs)

Agreed... After clicking a link in one of these forums that goes to KVR, I don' think I've touched ANY of the cubase plugs...

Check out SIR for sure... It's no lie, you will be happy! ;)

Cubase reverb plugins are good only when you want to make crappy sounding special FX with metallic edge. That's about it.

cheers for the responses guy but what i actually meant was what is the best setting within cubase's roomworks. i like the setting "room with view" but im not exactly a pro. how do i install better plugins??? will cubase automaticly recognize them???

Download the VST that you want, take that file and put it in the VST folder in Cubase.

try this one:

bram.smartelectronix.com/plugins.php?id=5

it's a simple (anechoic) Room Simulator plugin, which allows you to adjust the size of the room desired. Sounds great, adds some of that nice (anechoic) room sound to your tracks.

lol... It's sound almost as great as the sonic finger plugins.

No such thing really. it's a case of playing with it until it sounds good. You need to learn exactly what the parameters do and and how the sound changes when you alter them. Otherwise known as "learning to record music". ;) :D

No easier way I'm afraid.

Hi Scrubs, do you know where I can find some of these?

No joy at noisevault.
