I NEED TO BUY A CD RECORDER THAT ENABLES ME TO RECORD INDIVIDUAL CDS FROM EXTERNAL SOURCES AND ALSO DUB FROM CD TO CD , SOMETHING DURABLE FOR MASS DUBBING PROJECTS. MY ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT I HAVE AN EXTREMELY SMALL BUDGET WHAT ARE MY CHOICES??

BEST DUBBERS/RECORDER

THANKS ALOT! I'VE BEEN TO ABOUT 7 STORES COMPARING PRICES AND BRANDS AND PHILLIPS HAS ALWAYS BEEN SUGGESTED. IS THERE ANY PARTICULAR MODEL THAT WILL ALLOW ME TO TRANSFER THE INFO TO WAV FILES/MP3? I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO EDIT THE MUSIC THAT I'VE RECORDED, MAYBE ADD EFFECTS OR VOICE. AND IF SO, WHAT AM I LOOKING AT AS FAR AS A PRICE RANGE?

I use a Philips dual for mix down and the computer burner for mass copies. The Philips stuff is consumer grade and might not hold up to "mass" production. I agree with that a pro grade burner is better if you have the $$$.

Phillips make the worst CD recorders!

I 've had 3, the CDR-775 (broke the 1st day), the CDR-770 (still have that one, but it it sees limited use), and a Phillips computer burner (broke the 2nd week). If I were you, I'd go with a different make.

best affordable cd recorders/dubbers

thanks everyone for your suggestions. i apologize for shouting at everyone, my son spilled something sweet on my keyboard and my cap button was stuck. people went def reading my emails! anyway, i was interested in the philips cdr775 but now that i've read the replies i'm not so sure. someone mentioned "mixing down" the cd first on the external recorder and then burning them via my pc. can you please explain this?

Thats what he said.
If you would rather go pro, check into Tascam gear.
Hell, I'd just get a good CD writer to go in your PC. That way it never leaves the puter. Use your standard player to play and your writer to write.

I´ll say it again...YAMAHA CDW 3200E.!
GO SEE THE REPORTS ANYWHERE ON NET....
