Behringer Xenyx X1832 USB- usb connection problem/ no usb input signals

I recently got a X1832 to record music. I installed the driver, connected the mixer to my laptop but it seems like no input signals are being recognized. i can hear my voice and my guitar through my headphones, but no input signals are being displayed my recording program, although configured everything in preferences. please help
 
Are you selecting the Xenyx as your audio input and output device in whatever DAW you are using?
 
yes i did press the usb to main button. what's next? man i love this site! people are actually trying to help you :'D

Did you install the correct driver for your OS from HERE?

Yes I'd be 90% sure it is that, when I first got my x1222usb I didnt install the correct driver, had exactly the same problem you had, went on here a couple of days thinking it was something complicated and being told that I'd wasted my money buying a xenyx mixer, but realised it was the driver. I think the driver is it then
