Hi,

I recently bought this mixer and really like it. Except for one thing. I have my mic, my turntable, and my computer going through it. I can hear all three fine in my headphones, but when i try record them with audacity, all i hear is static. I have both mic and speaker set to the mixer, but all there is is static. Am i missing something??

Thanks!

OK, do you have the USB output going to your computer? Do you have the Xenyx selected as your input device in Audacity?

i had both input and output on my computer set to the mixer, and the mic input in audacity was set to the mixer

could it be feed back?
are you trying to record and monitor from the pc through the mixer?
mic>mixer> pc audacity>mixer>headphones>speakers?

i dont think its feedback because all i can hear is static, as opposed to reverb or sound from my computer, etc... right now i have pc to mixer through USB, and im trying to record both mic and pc sound through mixer to audacity....

i apologize in advance if my answers tend to go in circles, but im new at this so....

thanks again for all the help :)

the other problem i seem to be having (not to compound anything) is that i can hear myself in my headphones through the mixer, but people on skype, etc cant hear me

can you post a screenshot of audacity?
i cant remember its a while since i used audacity but i think the mic/mixer input on audacity should be usb codec.
skypes mic input will need to be set aswell from the software options
What audio drivers are you using?
is your pc's internal sound card disabled?
i've got more questions than answers.

Did your computer 'recognize' the mixer when you plugged it in/turned it on and install the drivers?

so ive done some more checking on my mixer, and the static comes in even with nothing but power and usb plugged in....it starts immediately after i power on the mixer, and i cannot find out why :( oh and it only happens when the main mix source is on

My limited experience with a Behringer mixer tells me that's the problem. I bought one and returned it the next day ...
