Behringer MX2442 problem

I think I might be sold on Soundcraft mixers now. I'm loving my M12. You can always consider Allen and Heath at that price point as well?

I would have considered the Spirit M range but the last Spirit mixer I had 3 of the little oval switches started to play up and refused to latch also the headphone output failed so I decide to leave the Spirit (Chinese made) ranges alone.

Fair enough. I can see how you feel about the whole PCB / parallel-mounted approach to mixers. But this is the best I've been able to afford so far...

This was not ment as critisism in fact I am probably being way over cautious, I just got a bad one.

If the wifey is prepared to stump up the cash I had better go with the flow

That's cool - no offence taken. Although I'm really excited about having my first 'proper' mixer, I am uncomfortable with being able to see the PCB through the fader runs, and there being no dust protection on those runs at all

I own a mx2442 . I've never owned any 'good' gear, being a poor arse( no money) so I thought it wasn't too bad. BUT, I have just recently discovered that 3 channel's pre's don't work any more and another one has no output I'd definitely think twice (or more) before buying a behringer mixer...Since I'm so poor anyone have any ideas on how to get it going again??

I am curious as to why you would re-open a thread that's over 3 1/2 yrs old!!??

Behringer mx3242x

I just got this mixer brand new out of the box and it powers up nice and all lights work and fx display works fine but I get nothing from mix inputs or line-in from anything. There is also no led light blinking, moving, blipping...nothing! I put a mic in different channels and nothing. I put headphones on to see if I could hear anything and all I hear is a slight clicking noise. What the hell is going on?

I just did a search for my mixer and I guess that was the lucky one I found first.
