I recently purchased a Berry C1 with a particular use in mind and too be honest at the price they are being sold for had no great hopes as to suitability.
Anyway this is what I have found:-
Its very noisy, think ECM8000.
Its a proper condenser (not electret).
Its quite well made considering the price.
It is NOT an LDC, ignore Berry's claims, the capsules look the same as fitted to the Berry B5.
It has not got the usual 2 wire screens instead it has quite a tight outer screen over a foam condom like a typical handheld mic.
Its a bit early to comment on the sound quality but I think it has its uses as an instrument and O/H mic for those on a very tight budget.
