anyone have thoughts and opinions on this mic? i saw it at music123.com for $30 and wondered if it would work well in a home studio setup with a behringer ub1202 mixer and adobe audition 1.5 other mics i have are Sm58, shure pg48, 2 Shure 5755 (old as hell mic i found in thrift store) and a behringer xm8500. i'm looking to jump into the condenser world and wondered if i should start off small or splurge....

Although I have never heard this mic, I would reccomend jumping into the condensor world with something else....just based on the name...
save a little more and get something better.

But then again...my first guitar was a piece of shit..and so it was that I came to appreciate my nicer guitars for the experience...

for $30..you ususally get what you pay for...

Check out the MXL, Studio Projects, and CAD lines as well for some OK budget equipment.

I have one and I'm quite surprised. it was very inexpensive and sounds really very good for vocals. I have not tried it on guitar but overall it seems to be very clear, decent boost when you get close (proximity effect) but not boomey. good sensitivity and the pattern is tight so I can use it without picking up too much noise or getting feedback from monitors. could be luck... but I'm watching some on ebay as I'd like to get another, although for $30 I don't think you can go wrong.

if you do get one, post back your findings on it. I'm curious if mine was a fluke or not...

i would say spend a bit more and get a studio projects b1, i have one and its absolutely great. if you search it on the forum you will find great reviews and some peoples songs created using it. I may cost a bit more but it will be worth it :)
