Behringer C-1 awful noise

This condenser mic starts making a harsh noise when human skin touches any metallic component of the mic (i.e. the metallic grill that covers the condenser) . Do you know why is it happening?

What about when animal skin touches it? Sounds like you might have some type of grounding issue. Can you record and share a soundclip of this 'harsh sound'?

The awful sound is gone. I just beat the mic a little and it stopped. The condenser mic is now working fine.

Nothing like a decent bit of percussive maintenance. It sounds like a loose connection that caused it to be un-earthed
