Behringer 2031 passives

If you can afford them get the active version. Much better value for money. They are one of the nicer pieces of gear that Berry do.

Like all monitors in this price range they have some glaring faults but that goes with them all at this price.

I'm looking at passives since they will be part of my stereo system. I've been using a pair of 20 year old sony floor speakers. The only thing I record are acoustic guitars and vocals but the huge woofers hype the bass too much. I'm looking for a decent improvement without spending alot of money.

I do not have a personal experience with 2031 but what I heard is this: For the price it is a good choice for a beginner. Their weakness is a lot of highs in a signal.
Look also at Tapco S5 monitors. For the similar price you should get a little better sound.
