Beginning Tascam User

My name is Pete Beill and I am new to home recording. I purchased a Tascam portastudio DP-01 FX/CD. I need

some recording help. I was able to record two tracks of a guitar and vocal. My question is how do I add more instruments

to my recording. (i.e. drum, bass, etc,) Does anyone have any info on the overall quality of this deck.

Using the 2 available inputs either separately or together, go thru the sequence of assigning your input(s) to the subsequent higher tracks. It is a simple button press to assign an input to any track, 1-8. then make sure those tracks the inputs are assigned to are also set to enable recording. Pls consult the manual if you can't figure it out on the fly.
