First by utilizing spell check we will know that you are a beginner not a begginer. hahah.unless you was stuttering my bad..hahah just playing. I know a lot of people are gonna recommend reason,or fruity loops. But do you have any other recording software?

Hi,
I dont speak english very well... so nevermind. I'm low on budget, so if i can use the computer (mac) i already have it would be great... I've heard about the software garage-band and some others, but i don't now nothing about them... are they ok ? which is the best one?!
What about harwares... to make beats i've checked the forum and i could understand that the basics are a sequencer and a keyboard, is that right??
could a sequencer and a keyboard get connected to my mac? what would be a good sequencer and a good keyboard?? im using mac os x...

Thanks for the attention!
Best regards for y'all!!

If you wanna use software you dont need a hardware sequencer. All you need is a midi keyboard, and software like reason or fruity loops.these have their own sequencers and samplers on the software.Their are other things as far as software, but those options I mentioned are perfect for your situation.

For beats all I use for hardware is an M-Audio Oxygen 8 keyboard controller (plugs into the USB port of your Mac or PC). That ran me about $150.00 USD. You could probably find some other ones cheaper than that though. You just have to look. I would also recommend looking on Ebay for them.

For software, I prefer Reason 3, but it's on the costly side (about 400.00 USD and up). If you want to start out with something easy on the price but good to use, I'd recommend Fruity Loops (or FL Studio as it's sometimes called). It can run from $99.00 USD - around $150.00 USD, but for about $300.00 it's a good start to make beats without having to buy a bunch of equipment you will wind up selling later because it's not working for you.

Fiev.

Anything that supports midi - so basically any sequencer - will be enough to get you going. Sadly, I don't know Garage Band very well, though I'm almost sure it supports midi. You then can download all manner of free virtual instruments and synths and wither play them - with a midi keyboard as was mentioned above - or draw them in with mouse clicks.

You need a mic too, and depending on the mac, a pre amp. I don't know so much about macs - sorry! - but it sorta depends...you need a way to connect microphones and stuff to your pc through a soundcard. Depending on the specifications of the mac, you may ahve one built in.

You can probably find demos of all of these at hitsquad.com/smm

I've installed the Garageband.... does anyone here have any idea on the way it works..??
I think hardwares are much better to use and to create music... does anyone shares the same opinion.?!

Thanks

That statement all depends on how you like to work. I like working with hardware, software, and hardware+software! If you know how to play piano or like everything to be done with a dial or somethin, your gonna like hardware better. If you like quickness and access to alot of stuff, your gonna like software. Both have pros and cons.

It's funny you say this because by the time you turn your computer on and load up your program..I'd already have the drums going and working on a melody...My mpc for example i had it painted candy red and i have custom wood sides..but i dont have no letters or numbers near any of the functions or buttons....I just do ita all by memory even labeling sequences etc.....i'm pretty quick, but i know people twice as fast as me....
