Unique!

I don't use that word often becaus it's seldom approppriate - but it is here - this is a unique sound and style - really caught me off guard. I didn't hear the original - apparently came out before my time with the clinic.

The mix sits really well to my ears - spacious and diverse. The lead vocal is really, really cool - lends a colorful contrast to the background. The harmonized 'chorus' is downright pretty - a classical approach - and really thick, again a neat contrast to everything else happening throughout the song ala John Rutter and the Cambridge Singers.

Then you totally disregarded the predictable and added that awesome whammy guitar - absolutely brilliant! What a cool headpace! Thanks for letting me in!

This is still uniquely you but so much more sophisticated.
The harmony vocals were beachboys-like in their scope!
The clean electric sounds delightful at the end.

Now, you have to go back and rework all your other tunes:D
You poor shmuck, after THIS song you won't be able to listen to the other stuff till you do:D :D :D

Whoa that switch off into the chorus section is wild.. You have some really excellent choices in terms of the unexpected that works. I hear the eastern scales kinda of getting mixed into a holiday church choir type thing. Crzzzyybzzzz bzzzz bzzzz bzzzzz!!

This is the equivalent of winning the ball game with small ball to me. Your best yet to me and i totally agree with the comment about the choruses being somewhat unsettling. It's the interval selection that's superb and creepy.
 
I like the chorus and solo greatly, not sure about the verse. It's very David Byrne-ish
 
Opening sound reminds me too much of a speaker crumbling. I really liked the plucking sound.
Good intro, nice clean vocals. Guitar stuff was way cool.

Vocals may be a bit hot, but it's a vocal tune so...
