It's Too Funky in Here!!!
This is hardly post-worthy, but I've been picking up brand new cassette tapes off the rack at the thrift store, for typically 99c a piece, regardless of brand or type. I've been getting tapes that span the range, from Type I, II and IV.
My local thrift stores seem especially good for tape, and I make a regular stop there about every 2 weeks. I've also gotten some really great gear for cheap (mostly at the Salvation Army), including CD changers and TVs, (OT), but these dump-off deals on tapes should not be overlooked! People are going thru their belongings and excessing anything cassette or VHS, is my basic opinion, and the deals abound if you look hard enough.
Which isn't to say I've not bought over 1500 brand new cassettes from online retailers in the last 5 years. Thrift stores seem to be popping for me each time I go.
I hardly ever post here, but I read here often. Keep up the good work!
Cheers.
