"Because" harmony vox

Can anyone tell us how the vocals from the Beatles' "Because" were mixed down to give them that angelic sound?
Besides triple-tracking each voice?

Well, IMO you just answered your own question: Triple-tracking each vocal.

Also, when the Beatles looked past their infighting and bickering, and got down to business, they were the consummate music, singing and recording pros, second to none.;)
 
Gives it that thick, rich & creamy, wall-of-sound-ish-type sound.

The Beach Boys did the same thing, no? Triple-tracking harmonies? (as did Queen)

Weren't most of the (popular) BeachBoy songs recorded before they had overdubbing. Seems to me from one of those stupid TV movies that they all had to play everything live in one take.

Thats as crazy as saying the monkeys were better then the stones.
 
id take pet sounds over anything the beatles ever did....brian wilson was the dogs bollocks (very good)

then again the velvet underground DO make the beatles look like the monkeys.....which is pretty tough

Pet sounds is the only recording from the beachboys worth hearing If you want good surf music listen to Dick Dale or the Ventures.
I think the monkeys was a fun show with fun music, but in no way on par with the Beatles or the stones.

Smile (1967) - by the Beachboys...never was really completed. Brian has a breakdown and freaked....

Evidently, Paul visited the B-boys while they were working on the project in the studio...and dug what they were doing.

The Beatles were (IMO) THE BEST!
They were responsible for the way alot of music is recorded today.
If it weren't for them, you wouldn't have some of the greatest artists of all time filling our lives.
If it weren't for the Beatles, nobody would try to do things differently.
Hell, even Pet Sounds was done by the The Beach Boys as an answer to the creative genius of the Beatles Sgt. Peppers.

It is true that the Beach Boys were also an all-time great. But there is much to be said as to why they made it and some didn't.

I don't mean to start a pissin contest with you or anyone else, but can't you keep your negative comments about anothers favorite group to yourself?
