That's how I do it, anyway! Eh,... which one? Heh.

Thanx!.........   ;)

The 'da da da da da da da da da da da da da!' that comes in just before the lyrics

warrengtype – cool arrangement of Sgt Pepper, well sung.

Dogman, big sound and good arrangement on Come Together.

A Reel Person, hey, good vocals on Think for Yourself.

michaelst – I’ve been a Britins fan since I heard them last March

warble – a beautiful performance and an inspired piano part

Track Rat – another hot production with hot gtr playing. You’ve got every aspect of the original nailed.

:) :) From a different recent thread, but I'll put it here too since it's Beatles...
My version of Come Together on nylon string gtrs.

You're way too kind Tim. I heard that version of Come Together on the other thread. That's so cool it makes my head hurt. Just outstanding!

Thanks for all the comments guys - I really appreciate it! :)

There are some really good covers in this thread - don't know how I didn't see it before. I'm ready to hear more!

Thanks, Tim. Do you have any more recorded? Love to hear something from you.

This seemed like a good place to post this....

Has anyone here picked up "The Beatles: The Complete Scores"?

It seems to get good reviews on Amazon. The temptation over here is formidable.

thanks for the comments guys. Mixing Beatles music, live or on the PC, is a labor of love.

Sometimes, when the room is right and the band is right(which, actually, is quite often), I literally get goose bumps from how good it sounds, and how good the music is.

Guttaperch... "The Complete Scores" is probably the most accurate source, however, even it contains some errors. Not many tho, it's probably about 90-95% accurate. One thing you should know about the Complete Scores - you MUST have good eye sight!! It's printed in about 6-8 point font and is nearly impossible to read while playing.

The best source we've found so far is a guy in Detroit who does video's, now DVD's, on how to play the Beatles EXACTLY. It's called Beatles to a tee . Fantastic instructional series, but, he doesn't do every song.

Thanks Track Rat. :)

Dogman, yeah, I'm working on another Beatles tune. :)

(re perfect versions) Nah, you can get those here: (click!)

:D
There's also the "Alternate Takes" White Album. I've got it around here somewhere... the songs in their raw and partially written stages. The performances are very unpolished - sometimes out of tune, guitar glitches, wavering rhythms... before the 20 or 30 takes were done to get the final versions. Really interesting stuff... almost like they were just regular guys. I think there are a variety of alternate take collections around, bootleg and mainstream, from different albums but this is the only one I've heard myself.
