I was changing the tube in my ADK TC from the stock tube to a GE 5-star series, and I broke two of the wires going from the circuit board to the tube, and I still didn't get the damn thing in. Now I have to pay someone to fix my mic and put the tube in.

Be careful, friends!!

Hey Cominginsecond,

Did you get this idea from me? If yes, then send it to me and I will fix it for you. You pay shipping and insurance, though.

You sent it to the factory? Come on, it just a few wires! Grab that soldering iron. I'm sure you could fix it yourself.

I've successfully soldered the wires on a 57 capsule (yes, the capsule itself) with my 30-year-old Weller. Surely you can solder wires on a tube.

No, I didn't I got the idea from Nathan at atlasproaudio.com. It's a good idea, I just screwed it up.

Anyway, I'm just paying a local tech to do it, I'm not sending it off. I don't trust myself anymore.

Thanks for the offer, though, even though I'm not eligible!
